The Associate of Science in Psychology degree offered by Front Range Community College is a transferable degree that is designed specifically for individuals who plan to transfer into a 4-year baccalaureate program and major in Psychology or a related field. The difference between the Associate of Science in Psychology program and the Associate of Arts in Psychology is that a student takes more mathematics or sciences courses than humanities courses.
Individuals who wish to pursue further studies in psychology, sociology, human resources, or other related subject areas should be prepared by this program to meet the needs and challenges of a bachelor’s level program of study. The required courses in this program cover basic concepts and theories, and are coupled with general education requirements in order to help students build a foundational set of skills and knowledge related the field of psychology. Students work with their faculty advisors to build a course of study that best fits their personal interests and professional and educational needs.
Colorado requires all students complete a math and language skills assessment prior to taking classes (unless you qualify for an exemption).
