Program Details

The online Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences is designed for problem-solvers with a passion for changing the lives of individuals and communities by improving access to health and wellness services.  The curriculum teaches basic theories and research findings to develop strategies to promote wellness, reduce disparities, strengthen community partnerships, and increase access to affordable healthcare.  Courses include medical terminology, community mental health, public administration, and public health to provide students with foundational knowledge that they can then use in grant writing, communication, managing risk and mitigating liability, making ethical decisions, and incorporating employment law procedures into healthcare management.


  • Official documentation of graduation from an accredited high school or its equivalent OR an associate’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, an institution recognized as a candidate for accreditation, or an institution recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation
  • Submit transcripts: high school if fewer than 24 transfer credits; college transcripts if 24 or more transfer credits.
  • Students with no prior college credits may also need to complete placement testing.
