Forsyth Technical Community has a diploma program in Global Logistics Technology. This is an extremely flexible program for those interested in working in an entry-level position in a wide range of government agencies, manufacturing and service organizations. This program will ensure students have an adequate understanding in areas such as: Supply Chain, Transportation Management, Import/Export, Purchasing, Computer Applications, Accounting, and International Business. The courses required for this program are as follows: Introduction to Computers, Expository Writing, Introduction to Logistics, Mathematical Models, Principles of Financial and Managerial Accounting, Principles of Management, International Business, Transportation Logistics, Import/Export Management, Purchasing Logistics, and Principles of Marketing. The entire program requires students to take 40 credit hours. It typically takes students 3 semesters, including one summer semester. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, employment of logisticians is expected to grow 26 percent from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations. Companies rely on logistics to manage the movement of their products and supplies, which allows the company to compete in a highly globalized market. Upon completion, graduates may be eligible for certification credentials through the Educational Society for Resource Management (APICS) and the American Society of Transportation and Logistics (AST&L). The average salary for this graduates who successfully complete the program varies depending on what type of industry they get involved in as well as if they chose to further there education or training.

Forsyth Technical Community College is a two-year, public institution of higher education located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Founded in 1960, FTCC has eight locations throughout North Carolina and offers a multitude of academic programs. Students can earn an associate degree, participate in transfer programs, or pursue certificates and diplomas. Additionally, more than 20 programs are offered entirely online. Students earn degrees in areas such as computer information, entrepreneurship, business administration, financial services, project management technology, and many others.
