Program Overview

The Business Administration/Import Export Compliance program at Forsyth Technical Community College is a unique program for those who are not only interested in the broad Business Administration degree, but also in Import Export Compliance, and want to learn more about the trading of goods inside and outside of the United States. This degree will expose students to the different trading policies and regulations. 

A potential job after successfully obtaining this degree is an Import/Export Compliance Manager. Some responsibilities of this job are managing the continued development and implementation of a global trade compliance program. Primary skills needed for this position are proficiency in US import and export regulations and how they will define supply chain paths during product development. Investigative skills will be applicable in managing trade compliance with other countries as needed. Graduates who go on to act as the corporate trade compliance representative will maintain an active role in assuring compliance of import/export activities in the company owned subsidiaries and offices globally in the US, Mexico, Asia and Europe. 

This AAS degree program generally takes up 4 semesters of a student’s time during daytime scheduled hours and 11 semesters  (including 3 summer terms) if classes are taken at night.

    Forsyth Technical Community College is a two-year, public institution of higher education located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Founded in 1960, FTCC has eight locations throughout North Carolina and offers a multitude of academic programs. Students can earn an associate degree, participate in transfer programs, or pursue certificates and diplomas. Additionally, more than 20 programs are offered entirely online.
