The Business Administration degree at Forsyth Technical Community College is designed to expose students to the various aspects of the free enterprise system. It offers a unique opportunity to learn tools and skills that could help students prepare for a business foundation. The ability to take business classes while continuing a normal work schedule can give students the flexibility they need to complete their education.
Students will be provided with a fundamental knowledge of business functions, processes, and an understanding of business organizations in today’s global economy. The course work includes classes such as business law, marketing, management, economics, accounting and more! These skills are practiced through the study of computer applications, communication, team building, and decision-making.
The overall objective of this program is to teach ways to run an efficient organization of people and other resources so that common goals and objectives are reached. Different jobs that can arise from this degree include: Account Executive, Office Manager, Executive Assistant, Assistant Manager, Department Manager, Sales Representative, Marketing Assistant, or Small Business Owner.
Students will choose various business electives to make the degree more customizable to their interests in the business field along with the required core classes, as previously mentioned. This degree requires 69 credit hours.

Forsyth Technical Community College is a two-year, public institution of higher education located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Founded in 1960, FTCC has eight locations throughout North Carolina and offers a multitude of academic programs. Students can earn an associate degree, participate in transfer programs, or pursue certificates and diplomas. Additionally, more than 20 programs are offered entirely online. Students earn degrees in areas such as computer information, entrepreneurship, business administration, financial services, project management technology, and many others.
