Program Details

Students who have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university can apply to the online Master’s in Social Work program from Fordham University. Advanced Standing is available to individuals with a BSW degree or who have completed the first year of an accredited MSW program. Students with Advanced Standing will bypass foundation coursework and focus on advanced direct practice to complete their degree in less time.

Field work at a partner agency in the student’s community will begin shortly after starting classes for the online MSW. Graduates can pursue licensure and find careers in settings such as community-based organizations, government agencies, hospitals and nursing facilities, military and veteran organizations, schools, and substance abuse treatment clinics.
