Fordham University offers an online Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies degree program. Students will take courses that feature a Roman Catholic worldview. They are designed to meet requirements for pastoral ministers set out by the USCCB and the National Association of Lay Ministers and will cover areas that include scripture, morality, and systematic theology.
The curriculum consists of courses in four academic areas:
- Pastoral Counseling
- Religious Education
- Pastoral Ministry
Graduates will have a solid foundation to follow many different career paths in ministry including serving the Church in parishes, diocesan offices, schools, hospitals, and other faith-based organizations.
