Program Details

The online Master of Science in Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies program is concerned with the improvement of educational and training programs through the application of research and technology as students draw upon the fields of psychology, communications, and management to improve human performance.  The curriculum core is based upon materials development and the utilization of technology while also studying the theoretical basis for the total design, development, implementation, and management of education and training skills.  Coursework covers training and application in research and technology in many types of organizations, including education, business, government, and others, along with needs assessment and job analysis through system design and evaluation.


  • Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or equivalent
  • Minimum upper-division undergraduate GPA of 3.0

  • GRE test scores (waived for applicants with 5 years of professional experience as an instructional designer; master's degree or higher; or enrolled in a certificate program)
