Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Online Instructional Development is a non-degree program that prepares students to design online instruction in a variety of settings.  Graduates will find positions with businesses, government agencies, universities, schools, and many other types of organizations interested in hiring individuals who can create innovative approaches to online instructional design.  Courses are: Introduction to Distance Learning, Technology & Design, and Introduction to Systematic Instructional Design.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or equivalent
  • Minimum upper-division undergraduate GPA of 3.0
  • Official transcript(s) from each college and/or university attended
  • GRE test scores (waived for applicants with 5 years of professional experience as an instructional designer; master's degree or higher; or enrolled in a certificate program)
  • Statement of purpose
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Resume
