Master of Business Administration / Hospitality and Tourism Management
As of fall 2015, Florida State University’s College of Business begins offering a new online MBA program focused on hospitality and tourism management. This two-year degree (six semesters) builds on the first-rate reputation of the college’s Dedman School of Hospitality, which has been supplying managers for the hospitality industry for nearly 70 years. FSU’s Dedman alumni lead and manage hotels, resorts, convention centers, food services, travel agencies, real estate development projects and cruise lines throughout the world. The new program is completely online and ideal for the following individuals: professionals already working in the hospitality business who want the skills an advance degree offers without sacrificing their career position; recent hospitality graduates who want a jump start on a management track; international students seeking to earn an MBA from an American university and gain expertise in the business of hospitality and tourism. Classes are taught by the same world-renowned professors who teach on campus and who are recognized leaders in their fields of research. Florida State’s program is flexible, affordable, and lessons learned can be immediately applied at work. . Application deadlines: March 1 for summer entry, June 1 for fall entry, October 1 for spring entry. The GMAT may be waived for highly qualified candidates.

Resume. Two letters of recommendation. Must have a bachelor's degree and submit a GMAT (preferred) or GRE score demonstrating strong analytical and verbal skills. Previous coursework in business is not required. Have a minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience, an upper-division undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0, a minimum total score of 550 on the GMAT, or a GRE minimum of 530 on the verbal scale and 710 on the quantitative scale for the old exam, with a minimum of 156 on each subsection on the revised GRE, taken within the last five years.
