Program Details

The online Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction program advances knowledge in working with students from diverse backgrounds and allows educators to fuel their passions for education and learning.  The curriculum provides experiences that empower educators to make changes in their classrooms and to become leaders in their schools while also emphasizing the need to understand approaches to curriculum and instruction that will meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse learners.  Coursework includes content in curriculum and instruction, curriculum development, and research, providing the tools and opportunities that help customize the focus of the program.


  • Four-year U.S. bachelor degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher for the last 60 hours of upper division coursework
  • Valid Teacher Certificate OR valid Letter of Eligibility and passing score on Teacher Certification Examination (General Knowledge and Subject Area exams)
  • Access to either K-12 students or K-12 teachers in an academic setting to work on the Action Research Project throughout the program
  • Good standing with all previously-attended colleges and universities
  • Official transcripts from all previously attended universities
