Program Details

A Master of Science degree in Communication with a concentration in Spanish Language Journalism is offered in an online format with Florida International University.  This bilingual program is designed for those interested in creating innovative and entrepreneurial content applied to a variety of topics.  Studies include but are not limited to:

• Investigative journalism
• Data management
• Bilingual training in digital and electronic media

Students have the opportunity to choose the Latin American and Caribbean Studies specialization.  This concentration covers political science, anthropology, and sociology of political and historical Latin American and Caribbean contexts.  Students will work directly with career professionals while conducting and producing research on social media, media literacy, issues of power and race, and more in journalism with FIU online.
