Florida Institute of Technology offers the online BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. This degree provides students with an understanding of the business and management aspects of the operation as well as knowledge of accounting practices and procedures. Accounting and bookkeeping are some of the most important parts of the business process. It’s vital that the owners and operators of a business understand their income and expenditures and correctly manage their costs, debts, and assets.
Students in this program will develop the management abilities of planning, strategy, organization, staffing, leading, and control while practicing the fundamental of cost accounting and incorporating principles and procedures of internal/public financial auditing. These skills allow a manager to communicate the issues of the accountants to management, as well as communicate the desires and intentions of the management to the accountants.
