Florida Institute of Technology offers an online-only Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology with a Concentration in Organizational Psychology program to supply the workplace with educated and trained organizational psychologists who normally may not have attended a traditional classroom setting. The program builds off of a liberal arts education and expands the program with fundamental knowledge, skills, and understanding of applied organizational psychology.
Students will learn the interactions and interrelated issues of management, employee recruitment, training and development, employee selection and promotion and organizational effectiveness. Organizational psychologists are problem-solvers brought in to identify the inefficiencies of human behavior in a business and find a way to alter the behavior as well as develop strategies for conflict management, communication and leadership.
Students will benefit from the program through the understanding of major applied psychology concepts and techniques, as well as understand the application, measurement and legal considerations of personality, cognition and behavior modification. Students should seek this degree if they have an interest in business and sociological and psychological behavior in a group. However, in order to maximize the value of education in psychology, students should strongly consider continuing their education with a master’s or Ph.D. after completing their bachelor's degree in order to have access to the education and training which opens up a large variety of employment opportunities for individuals with psychology degrees.
