Program Overview

The online Associate of Arts in Applied Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology is designed as an introductory program for students interested in psychology as a starting point for a career in psychology or the basis for seeking entry-level jobs working under the supervision of licensed psychologists. Students in the program learn about methods which are used to identify, understand, and develop solutions to practical problems faced by individuals practicing in the field of psychology, understand and distinguish between various psychological and interdisciplinary theories of behavior, and understand the application of theory and research in the study of group behaviors. 

Psychology as a practice requires a formal education.     Official transcripts of high school graduation or GED equivalent (if fewer than 24 semester credit hours at an accredited institution). Official transcripts of all regionally accredited higher education institutions attended. Official records for any advancement exams, including CLEP, GED college-level examinations, and /or DANTES, USAFI examinations.
