The online Graduate Certificate in Teacher Leadership program is designed to provide the tools teachers need to become highly effective leaders of grade and school level teams. The curriculum fosters leadership development through an interactive set of experiences that include sound theoretical and “best practice” knowledge and problem-based coursework. The program’s goals are to activate teachers as leaders for students and the profession; equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to mobilize, advocate, and lead around issues concerning current student learning and education policy; and develop competencies within instructional, policy, and association leadership.
- Submission of a goal statement
- Official transcripts of an undergraduate or graduate degree; and
- A teaching certificate or equivalent teaching experience
