Master of Science in Nursing / Women’s Health
Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Program Details

Prepare to elevate women’s health in your community at Florida A&M University (FAMU). Our Master of Science (MSN) program offers a specialization in Women’s Health, giving you the skills for in-demand nurse practitioner roles. After completing this program, you’ll be ready to provide compassionate, patient-centered care for every stage of adulthood.

FAMU designed the ACEN-accredited MSN to help you advance into women’s health on the timeline you desire. We accept up to 12 transfer credits to help you graduate faster—in fact, full-time students can finish in as little as 1.5 years. You can also complete the online courses part time, getting the flexibility to meet your work, life, and school commitments.

In our online MSN, experienced faculty will help you learn advanced women’s health theory and practices rooted in evidence-based care. You will also complete coursework that applies to professional licensure, including the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure exam.

The online MSN also includes a brief lab-intensive on campus and a clinical placement in your community. As a result, you’ll gain hands-on experience that ties to women’s health roles you’ll pursue after graduation.

If you want to become a women’s health nurse practitioner, our MSN is a great choice. After all, NursingJournal named our MSN the No. 2 online nurse practitioner program in Florida. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report recently ranked FAMU among the top Historically Black Colleges & Universities.
