Program Details
The online Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program provides a strong social science background, preparing students for careers in justice or further studies at the graduate level. The broad curriculum incorporates core foundational topics that provide an overview of the criminal justice system with advanced coursework in criminology, research and statistics, and ethics while emphasizing the development of critical thinking skills as students examine crime, criminal behavior, social control, and theories of justice. Students are able to analyze crime, justice, and social control while developing a personal definition of justice, a better understanding of the world, and the ability to identify careers and strategies for action. You will take courses such as Forensic Psychology, Social Justice, Race, and Gender which explain the roles of psychology and sociology in the criminal justice system.
