Program Details

The online Certificate in Teaching Assistant program prepares students for teacher assistant positions in public education.  The curriculum focuses on federal and state laws and regulations, child and adolescent development and learning, classroom and behavior management, and instructional strategies.  Courses are taken in the humanities, social science, and math along with Teacher Assistant I and II.  Graduates are eligible to progress to the campus AA childhood education degree program or the AA liberal arts and sciences degree program.
