Program Details

Felician University offers an online Post Master’s Certificate in Religious Education degree.  This program is designed for those who already hold graduate degrees in theology or related fields.  Students will learn how to expand their expertise in the field and prepare for further studies if they intend to do so.  The curriculum brings the perspectives and concerns of different cultures and special pastoral needs to Catholic education and contributes to evangelization by helping others with their own faith formation and relationship with the Church.  You will learn about the Word of God, as revealed by Jesus Christ, and expressed through the teachings of the Catholic Church through models and support that will prepare you to share this knowledge with others as catechistically competent and skilled education ministers.


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Six undergraduate credits in theology or religious studies from a Catholic College
  • Students with a bachelor’s degree that is without theology/religious studies credits may, upon the approval of the Director, participate in an online reading, research and writing project
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Interview by phone or in person with the Program Director
  • Reading/writing sample
  • Notarized copy of a valid passport or notarized copy of a valid government-issued photo (such as a driver’s license)
