Program Details

A Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biblical Studies is available through Faulkner University.  This program is offered fully online, designed for those preparing for scholarly endeavors such as teaching, postdoctoral research, and diverse fields of ministry.  Students will take on advanced practice of reading, writing, researching, and analyzing through courses including but not limited to:

  • Restorative theology
  • Textual criticism
  • Biblical languages
  • Advanced hermeneutics

Requirements

  • A biblical-studies master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • A 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Official transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation 
  • A goals statement 
  • A copy of a graduate research paper or thesis previously accepted in a graduate-level biblical studies program
  • An interview with the dean, KGST director, and the graduate committee
