Program Details

The online Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction program is designed for educators interested in becoming more skilled in the latest techniques in classroom instruction and curriculum design.  The curriculum prepares teachers to become instructional leaders in the classroom and gives them the flexibility to choose elective courses that focus on their areas of interest.  There is also an option for a TESOL emphasis.  Required courses include:

  • Special Education: Consulting with Parents and Teachers
  • Leadership in Elementary and Secondary Curriculum
  • Educational Assessment
  • Special Studies in Classroom Management and Discipline
  • Current Issues and trends in Reading Education


  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university or be accepted into an Evangel University 5-year BS/MS degree program
  • GPA of 3.0 or better in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work or last two years as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student
  • Official results of required test scores (GRE and/or TOEFL)
  • Resume
  • Statement of purpose
  • Missouri Educator Profile results
  • Official college transcript(s)
  • Two references
  • Background check (required for practicums and internships)
