Master of Science in Mathematics

Program Details

The online Master of Science in Mathematics program helps students develop a graduate level competency and understanding of mathematics education.  The curriculum allows students to select several areas of mathematics they may want to pursue, such as applied mathematics, statistics, algebra, or analysis.  Courses may include:

  • Topology
  • Number Theory
  • Applied Analysis
  • Mathematical Proofs
  • Introduction to Mathematical Logic

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • A student must present work essentially equivalent to 20 hours of undergraduate mathematics, including at least two semesters of calculus and one course with a substantial focus on mathematical proofs, or gain consent of the graduate committee
