Program Overview

The Online Graduate Certificate in Biopharmaceutical Leadership is a program of study offered by Emmanuel College in a completely online format. The Biopharmaceutical Leadership specialization is designed specifically for scientists working in the biopharmaceutical industry, who feel they need to gain leadership and management skills. A graduate of this program should be able confident in obtaining managerial responsibilities. This program exposes its students to cutting edge business practices and aims to help students learn how to design and implement management ideas that best fit their organization or company.

The core management courses cover important management concepts consisting of leadership, ethics, financial management, and problem resolution. By the end of this program, a graduate may be able to use the skills and knowledge they have gained through the course of this program to solve complex management issues. Students will have the opportunity to gain competencies not only related directly to biopharmaceutical leadership, but also management and business skills in general.

The curriculum of this program teaches students necessary skills and knowledge regarding management and leadership concepts such as organizational behavior, team leadership, and project management. In addition to these business and management competencies, concepts related to the biopharmaceutical environment are also covered. This program requires students to take and complete 18 credit hours of courses in order to graduate with the graduate certificate in biopharmaceutical leadership.

    School Overview

    Emmanuel College is a private not-for-profit, 4-year or above institution of higher education, located in the city of Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 1919 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, Emmanuel College is a member of the Colleges of the Fenway consortium. The idea was to open the first Catholic college for women in New England and to provide women with opportunities for education. In 2001, Emmanuel became co-educational.
