Master of Education / Early Childhood Education

Program Details

The online Master of Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education program prepares practicing and pre-servicing teachers to work with children birth through grade 3.  The curriculum aligns with best practices and research to provide future educators the experience they will need in their careers.  Courses include Development of Young Learners, Issues and Trends in Early Literacy Development, and Curriculums in Early Childhood Education.

Requirements

  • Provide an official transcript verifying an earned baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Verification of possession of a valid elementary education or early childhood teaching certificate, if applicable
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.8 or satisfactory scores on the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
  • The Master’s degree is offered online with a one-week summer residency on campus
