Program Details
The online Coding Diploma program prepares students for jobs in the coding sector of the healthcare field as data analysts, health information coders, medical record coders, coder/abstractors, or coding specialists. The curriculum provides skills in classifying medical data from patient records, teaching students to review patients’’ records and assign appropriate codes for each diagnosis and procedure. Graduates are able to transfer all course credits into the higher level, AAS degree in Health Information Technology, program.

- Placement test may be required
