An IT department is comprised of people who use tactics to execute a strategic plan. The person who creates that plan and monitors the results is the IT Manager. It’s a profession that requires two separate skills sets, one rooted in technology and the other in management.
Aside from protecting computer systems from hackers, IT managers are also responsible for aligning and allocating technology assets based on organizational goals. For that reason, ECPI University is well-suited to offer a program in IT Management. The concentration in IT Management is designed to produce graduates who are able to strategically manage and utilize technology while implementing changes essential to today's global business environment.
