Program Overview

Eastfield College offers an online Associate in Applied Sciences degree in Business Administration that is ideal for students who are seeking a program in comprehensive business practice studies.  This program analyzes core management principles including organizational behavior and personnel administration.  Critical areas of business operations such as marketing, accounting and business law are covered. 

Students must meet required Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards as well as earn 25 percent of the college credits through the college awarding the degree.

The AAS in Business Administration is a 60- to 66-credit-hour program taught over the course of four semesters.  Semester one courses include: Principles of Management, Introduction to Business, Composition I, a Math Elective or Business Math, and Natural Science. 

The second semester encompasses: Principles of Marketing, Principles of Accounting I, Composition II, and Human Resources Management. 

Semester three classes are: Principles of Accounting II, Organizational Behavior, Cooperative Education-Business Administration and Management, Principles of Economics I, Introduction to Speech Communication or Fundamentals of Public Speaking. 

The final semester includes courses in: Business Law, Applied Psychology or General Psychology, Principles of Economics II, Business Correspondence and Communication, and a Humanities/Fine Arts elective.
