Master of Education in Literacy

Program Details

The online Master of Education in Literacy program develops the skills to boost student literacy in a supportive learning environment and the knowledge to support the diverse learning needs of a PreK-12 classroom.  The curriculum is based on current research and best practices and is applicable for teachers in the field and those who are interested in becoming reading specialists in schools.  Graduates find positions as Reading Specialists, Title 1 Specialists, District Reading Curriculum Specialists, classroom teachers with enhanced skills in literacy instruction, and more.

Requirements

  • Teaching certificate
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the last 90 quarter or 60 semester-graded undergraduate credits
  • Transcripts from all previous colleges/universities attended
