Program Details

The Bachelor of Arts in Addiction Studies is an online substance abuse counseling degree program that is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to become certified Chemical Dependency Professionals in the State of Washington.  This is a multidisciplinary program that is beneficial for students in a variety of fields, especially alcohol and drug prevention and treatment.  The curriculum uses the concept of Transformative Learning which follows the basic tenet: you cannot change anyone but yourself.  It also helps students become aware of their own assumptions and those of others and to recognize frames of reference using their sociological imaginations to redefine problems from a different perspective.
