Master of Science
The Master of Science degree is intended to provide the student with a strong graduate level course of study related to the field of education. Although most participants will be educators, others seeking an advanced degree in education related studies are also welcome.
The MS is a 45-credit program designed to give teachers a deeper theoretical and practical knowledge of the art of education. The degree will give students the coursework necessary for an endorsement on their existing teaching licenses. All required courses are available completely online, with students getting the option to take classes on campus. MS courses are offered on a rotating schedule that facilitates the degree’s completion in three years.
The MS in Education has several focus areas: Literacy, English as a Second Language, Teacher-Librarian, Curriculum and Instruction, Physical Education & Health, and Special Education. Students can work through the MS program at their own pace, allowing them to continue to teach while earning a world-class degree. Students may also take the endorsement classes in Literacy ESOL, or Special Education as part of the degree.
EOU’s small classes mean inpidualized attention, even online, and the faculty is committed to enhancing the practical skills and theoretical knowledge of teachers. The faculty has significant public school experience and hold Doctoral degrees in their teaching fields.

Tuition Basis :quarter credits
Students must have a GPA of at least 3.0, calculated on either of the following two options: (a) Last 60 quarter hours completed of undergraduate upper-division coursework; or (b) 15 quarter hours of approved graduate-level coursework.
