Fire Services Administration
EOU’s Fire Service Administration degree provides fire service professionals with the opportunity to learn the critical thinking and communication skills of liberal studies while they advance their professional education. Eastern Oregon University’s special strength in conferring the FSA degree is that the degree may be taken entirely at a distance. EOU is able to do this by providing two of the required institute courses and by working with Western Oregon University, which provides five basic institute equivalents through distance education.
The program requires a total of 180 credits, of which 45 must be EOU distance education courses (which can also be taken at WOU). A minimum of 60 credits must be upper pision and a maximum of 120 credits may be lower. 60 general education credits are required, as well as two years of a single foreign language, writing requirement, and the completion of a senior project or capstone.
Since 1980, the FSA program has given a dynamic platform with many options for the highly motivated, self-disciplined fire services professional seeking both career advancement and academic achievement.
