Program Details
The online Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education program prepares students for working with young children from birth to age 8 as teachers, program directors, advocates, or policymakers in schools, businesses, mental health agencies, private or church-related programs, and more. The curriculum allows students to explore the field of early childhood education, gaining the knowledge and skills needed for supporting, educating, and advocating for young children. Students will receive in-depth knowledge of early childhood foundations, development, and learning and apply this knowledge in learning to create high-quality early care and educational programs that focus on developing appropriate learning experiences for young children. Coursework is comprised of courses in the Early Childhood Education major and an additional academic minor or course of study that the student chooses.
