The online Master of Education with an emphasis in Reading and Literacy program is designed specifically to train elementary or secondary teachers to become experts in literacy. The curriculum uses clinical experiences, tools, and strategies to address a variety of issues that influence the lack of appreciable literacy in and out of modern schools. The program focuses on literacy development, foundations of reading, instructional methods, reading research, and best practices in the area of reading.

- GPA of 3.0 (applicants with GPAs between 2.8 and 2.99 will be considered for "conditional" admission; if accepted, candidates must earn a minimum GPA of 3.0 with no grade less than a "B" during the first semester or the first nine hours of enrollment)
