Program Overview

Eastern New Mexico University offers an online Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Technical Education ideal for individuals who want advanced training for research and administrative positions in secondary or postsecondary education, community or technical colleges, higher education, or business and industry related professional technical education. This program emphasizes current theory and research to help students achieve their career goals.

The MEd in Technical Education is a 36 credit-hour program consisting of 12 courses. Some of the core courses include a Graduate Seminar in Curriculum and Educational Reform. Required elective courses include: Content Area Literacy and Theory to Practice.

Finally, the concentration area courses are as follows: Teaching Methods in PTE, Professional Technical Education Law, and Assessment and Evaluation in PTE. Six hours may be transferred in from other institutions with advisor approval.
