Program Details

Eastern Michigan offers an online Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CP) which combines classroom instruction with 1,200 hours of supervised practice labs. The program is 20 months in length and courses are taken in a specific sequence with practice experiences occurring concurrently. Online students are required to find their own preceptors to coordinate the supervised practice experiences.

Career opportunities in dietetics are varied and jobs are potentially available in clinical areas in hospitals, long-term care facilities, specialized health care environments, and at insurance companies. Likewise, a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics offers the potential to work for federal and state programs like Women, Infant and Children’s Nutrition Program, Head Start and the Area of Aging, the FDA, and the USDA.
