Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Special Education, Learning and Behavior Disorders program promotes the knowledge and skill sets needed to advance the quality of services and educational programs for students with disabilities.  The curriculum prepares individuals to work as leaders and effective change agents for students with disabilities in PreK-12 school settings.  Graduates find careers as gifted education teachers; gifted coordinators in PreK-12; teachers in elementary, middle or high schools; specialists or coaches in PreK-12; and teacher leader educators.  Students can choose to add on a certificate.


  • Official transcripts from any and all colleges or universities previously attended
  • Candidates without prior graduate coursework must either have earned an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher (or a GPA of 3.25 or higher in their last 60 hours) or they must submit GRE or MAT scores
