Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Library Science focuses on the collaborative aspects of technology and critical thinking as students learn to reach beyond the classroom to impact students, families, and communities.  The curriculum prepares individuals to cultivate their students’ love for literature, integrate the latest technologies into the library setting, and collaborate with teachers to introduce students to resources that will broaden their personal and educational horizons.  Graduates will have the tools and techniques needed for school librarianship, are focused on current issues in the field, engage in problem solving through action research, and help students become effective users of ideas and information.
