The online Master of Science in Education with a curriculum in Special Education program is designed to provide coursework to practicing special educators with faculty that have significant background experiences in Special Education, small class sizes, and a flexible program. The curriculum includes course activities, projects, and assessments of candidate performances that are designed to nurture and assess candidates’ skills to relate research to their own professional practices. The program prepares candidates to be educational resources for their special education peers, general educators, the district in which they are employed, and to families and individuals with exceptionalities; to be professional change agents; and professional educator role models.
