Program Details

The Bachelor of Science in Human Services is an online human services degree program from East Tennessee State University.  This human services degree is designed to provide a foundation in human and behavioral science for students interested in counseling, case management, administration, or similar professions.  You will learn about the roles and functions of human services professionals and aspects of human service agencies while preparing to work in these professions.  In addition, courses cover the characteristics of human growth and development, the theories and skills needed to work with diverse clientele in various settings, and such skills as program evaluation, grant writing, and fundraising.  Ethical, legal, and cultural issues are emphasized in relation to human services professionals, especially the importance of documentation and the communication requirements in the field.
