Program Details

East Tennessee State University offers a bachelor’s in sociology online as either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Sociology.  This degree is for those interested in studying how people interact with others individually, in social groups, and in social systems.  The curriculum provides the technical and analytic skills and the global perspective needed to succeed in various careers within the field.  You will study diverse areas for this degree, including:

• Environment
• Health
• Demography and aging
• Religion
• Community

Students interested in the Bachelor of Arts degree will need to complete foreign language courses while those interested in the Bachelor of Science will need to complete courses in Natural Science and Mathematics.
