Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Deaf-Blindness program prepares educators, family members, and other professionals with undergraduate degrees who work with students who have deaf blindness to understand the unique impact of deaf-blindness on development and learning.  The curriculum teaches students to assess the strengths and needs of those with deaf blindness; design and implement empirically valid, effective educational programs and services; and train and utilize deafblind interveners and other paraprofessionals.  Graduates are able to work collaboratively with families, related service specialists, educators, and other specialists as they serve as effective teachers, school leaders, and advocates.
