Program Details

​As a program formed within a Catholic-Christian vision, this online MS in Counseling integrates extensive coursework, an internship and practicum.  You'll acquire the skills and knowledge to become a leader within your mental health community who can effectively engage others and become an advocate for social justice.  Service plays a large role in DMU's online counseling program and there are on-campus residencies also required as your earn this degree.  Samples of courses within the curriculum, include:

  • Marriage and Family Systems Theory
  • Counseling Skills and Helping Relationships
  • Moral Character and Spiritual Flourishing
