Program Details
Delaware State University offers an online social work degree, the Master of Social Work, with an Advanced Standing option. This is an advanced generalist practice concentration that prepares students for advanced practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. The curriculum offers an understanding of social, economic, interpersonal, and political problems facing the world from a global perspective. You will learn about the effects of such problems as:
- Poverty
- Health disparities
- Racism
- Oppression
In addition, courses build a strong foundation for all professional social work practice and explain the concepts and intervention principles that define the field. Graduates can practice social work in Delaware, across the region, or across the country with their education from Delaware State University.
