    School Overview

Daytona State College is a public state college located in Daytona Beach, Florida, and is a member institution of the Florida College System. Founded in 1957 as Daytona Beach Junior College, the Florida Legislature authorized the school as one of the state's first comprehensive colleges. In 2006 the school’s name changed to Daytona State College, a name that came with the addition of a bachelor's degree.

That program evolved and today DSC offers seven different bachelor degree programs, all within the fields of education, supervision and management, and engineering technology. Other bachelor level programs and articulation agreements are being planned for future implementation to support the region’s economic development and workforce needs.
