Associate of Science in Office Administration
The Office Administration - Associate of Science Degree will help train and prepare students with technical office skills that are a necessity to become a productive and responsible administrative assistant in today's work environment.
This program will cover many areas, including office management, computer operations, business law and various word processing programs. Students will also acquire the skills that will be applied in different business settings. Some examples of these skills would be developing communication, computation, management, and computer software and application skills. The student will also have the option to have specialization in Office, Legal Office or Medical Office.
Practically every business will always be in need of office support on some level. The office administration person(s) are usually responsible for the day-to-day activities that it takes to keep the business functioning. Some responsibilities that graduates can expect to experience in the workforce are customer service, data entry, document processing, event planning, keyboarding, mail processing, handling a multi-line telephone system, the ability to operate office equipment, record management and scheduling.
Graduates of this program are eligible to be enrolled in Daytona State College, Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management program.
