Program Overview

The Daytona College offers an Associate of Science in Business Administration, through which students will gain the knowledge and skills to prepare them for entry-level positions within the business field.

Business administration courses will give students examples of what they may find in the business community, such as how an efficiently organized office will be a major part in increasing productivity or how the daily tasks of important decision making, such as priority scheduling, delegating duties and overseeing operations make an impact on the business. Additionally, leadership skills will be developed over the course of the program. The budgeting section will cover how to create a budget and stay on that budget, while others will go into roles where they are more involved in marketing and advertising.

Throughout the program, courses will focus on business ethics, critical thinking, communications, and touch on the global business environment.

The Microsoft Suite will also be covered in the Business Administration curriculum. This will include but is not limited to Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, One Note, Access and Publisher.

Currently, Daytona College only offers the Business Administration Associate of Science Degree online.

    School Overview

Daytona opened its doors in 1996 as the Daytona Institute of Massage Therapy as a school dedicated to train students to be the very best at massage therapy. About ten years after its inception the private college expanded its programming with the addition of the Aesthetic Skin Care, Cosmetology, Allied Health and Business programs. Daytona College trains students for employment in specialized, technical fields.

Daytona awards associate's degrees, diplomas, and certificates in four main subjects: beauty and wellness, business administration, allied health and online programs. Students can receive a good number of these degrees and certificates from a distance as well, through Daytona’s online programs. The online programs also host many of Daytona’s continuing education classes—those available to community members, professionals or other individuals interested in enhancing their knowledge in certain subject matter. Examples include accounting and finance, teaching and education and writing and publishing.
