Dallas Baptist University offers a Master of Business Administration which can be completed online. The MBA will prepare students for a successful and rewarding career in the business field. Decatur Baptist College opened its doors in 1898 as the first two-year, institution of higher education in Texas, with a focus on liberal arts. As the name suggests, the school was located in Decatur, and thrived there for many years until the Dallas Baptist Association suggested a moved to Dallas. The campus made the move and corresponding name change in 1965, setting up shop southwest of the state capital. Other campuses have since popped up in Plano, Hurst ad Mansfield. Just five years later, it expanded its programming, offering four-year degrees. Almost 100 years after its inception, in 1985, the school’s name officially changed to what we know it as today; Dallas Baptist University.
DBU offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from seven schools, including Business, Christian Faith, Education, Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Math, and Professional Studies. Many programs are offered online for those already in the workforce, and distance learning opens up the school’s ministry to students from afar. As with most school’s today, Dallas Baptist University has many options in online courses, weekend college, dual and accelerated degree programs—a plethora of ways to make quality education, with a strong Christian foundation, more available to the masses.
