The online Certificate in Health Care Management provides students with the opportunities to learn skills specific to health care management while developing some of the competencies necessary for health care leadership roles. Courses teach the philosophies and policies of personnel management in health care and the theories guiding ethical decisions. Students learn how basic principles can be adapted to meet cultural changes affecting health care today, understand the financial implications of decisions made in health organizations, and analyze areas of activities in which management functions occur.
