A Business Marketing Associates in Science Degree at Dakota County Technical College consists of 60 credits and can be completed completely online. This degree is designed for students wishing to transfer to a four-year institution to obtain an advanced degree.

Throughout the course, students will be provided with the knowledge of general marketing concepts accompanied by specialized marketing concepts. Some classes students can expect to see on their agenda would be: Public Relations, Innovations in Marketing, Marketing Communications Writing and Fundamentals of Sales.

Business Marketing personnel are usually responsible for creating and delivering marketing ideas and activities to a panel or individual for approval. They then take the approved concept and create marketing material and manage the project. Throughout the process of the project, they are verifying that the content of the message is consistent with what the company is looking for. The marketing material decided upon could vary depending on the product being marketed. Some examples that may be used are direct mass-mailings, email campaigns, brochures and even Facebook.

    Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is a public, two-year technical school located in Rosemount, Minnesota, just inside the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. The school dates back to 1969. At the time, 50 students were enrolled to study one of the three majors offered at the time—Architectural Drafting, Auto Mechanic and Secretarial Training. Today, a dedicated staff provides associate's degree, certificate, and diploma Programs.

    The school has freshman and sophomore level courses spanning a wide variety of topics that are part of the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum. Dakota County Technical College offers several programs and courses online. Online learning is designed for students who need a convenient schedule and flexibility. Online credit courses follow the traditional semester schedule and offer the same coursework as an on-campus course, but provide flexibility for completing the work via the Internet.
